Another Navy Corpsman gives medical help to another wounded Marine

At the height of the battle for 881 North a Navy medical corpsman, 19 year old Vernon Wike of Phoenix, Arix., has reached a fallen Marine. Helmet off, Wike applies a compress to the Marine's chest (photo #1) and listens in vain for a heartbeat (photo #2). In (photo #3) he realizes the Marine is dead. Then still under fire from two sides, he lunges away to reach another wounded Marine.
